You can now share public Tweets via Direct Messages

Tweeting around can be a very social experience, but sometimes you want to take matters into a more private conversation. Twitter is now allowing you to share public Tweets via Direct Messages, starting a new type of conversation within the social network.

It’s a very simple process. You simply have to long press on any Tweet from the mobile apps and sharing via DM will be an option. In the desktop or Tweetdeck, you just press the “…” button and the option will be there.
